Kristi Noem, from South Dakota congressional hopeful and Tea Party favorite raises $1.1 million dollars.
Kristi Noem, South Dakota State Rep. the Republican candidate for the state's single congressional district, raised twice as much money this quarter as the congresswoman she hopes to unseat 1.1 million dollars.
Dubbed the next Sarah Palin, Noem hopes to knock out Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, a fashionable conservative Democrat in a right-leaning state. It's the most dangerous challenge to Herseth Sandlin since she was first elected in 2004. As the Post wrote in 2004:

kristi Noem now has $777,000 dollars cash on hand, compare to Herseth Sandlin's $500,000. dollars It's a bigger haul than any other House challenger this quarter. Senate challenger Sharron Angle, meanwhile, raised an amazing $14 million dollars this quarter in her race against Harry Reid. And Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) took in $5.4 million dollars in the past three months -- more than any Minnesota congressional candidate has raised in an entire election. South Dakota State Rep
